Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are great because they're versatile and filling.  They can be eaten as a side dish or as the entire meal.  You can top it with butter and more veggies or slice them up and pan fry them to make them crispy.  Plus, they're a powerhouse of nutrition with more fiber than regular potatoes, Vitamins A & C and Beta-Carotene.  What else can I say?


  1. Rinse and scrub the outside of your sweet potatoes and place directly into the crockpot.  No need to dry them off first either - bonus!
  2. Ideally, you would cook 3 large or 4 medium at a time.
  3. Set crockpot to low and cook for 6-7 hours.
  4. Keep handy in the fridge for a quick meal or you can even freeze them for another time.
